For a long time users have been clamoring for an updated map editor, and several community members tried/started, but later abandoned their attempts. More recently however, the Syringe code injection platform behind Ares was used to further enhance FinalAlert2 in a similar manner. The new FA2sp DLL extension is loaded with various functions replacing original FA2 functionality, adding new features and fixing many bugs. The open source project is available at FA2sp. The package of patched Final Alert 2 (v1.02) with modified FA2sp (to support Red Alert 2 also) is available at Patched FA2.
